Yuki Saketen: Yamagata Wine & Sake Shop in Akayu Onsen (English)
Yuki Saketen is a liquor shop in Akayu Onsen, Nanyo City, Yamagata, Japan, with a history of more than 300 years. We specialize in wine from Yamagata's wineries and sake from Yamagata's breweries, and our staff are happy to help in English.
What we carry
Wine from 13 wineries in Yamagata, about 200 bottles, including all six wineries in Nanyo City: Oura Winery, Sakai Winery, Sudo Winery (Shikin-en), Sato Winery (Kinkei), Grape Republic and Yellow Magic Winery
Sake from breweries across Yamagata. We deal with all 45 sake breweries in the prefecture
Our own wines (Bottling the VINEYARD), our own sake, grape juice, and Yamagata whisky
Our two shops
Main shop (Nanyo City): open every day except January 1. Free tasting at any time.
Akayu Onsen shop: closed on Wednesdays. Tasting sessions every day by reservation.
Both shops have staff certified as sommelier, SAKE DIPLOMA and kikizake-shi (sake sommelier).
Buying online
Delivery within Japan only. We do not ship overseas.
Flat shipping fee per order, for any number of bottles: 800 yen (regular) or 1,300 yen (refrigerated). Wine, sake and other items can be packed together.
